Chocolate Truffles

The ultimate chocolate candy, yet unbelievably easy to make!

In microwave safe container or on top of stove, melt Candy Melts with cream. If desired, stir in flavor. Pour into shallow pan. Refrigerate 1-2 hours or overnight until firm but pliable. Roll into 1-inch balls. Dip in melted candy and place on parchment covered cookie sheet. Chill until coating is firm. If desired, drizzle truffles with contrasting melted candy.

*Brand confectionery coating.

Ingredients and tools:

1 package (14 oz.) Dark Cocoa Candy Melts®*, chopped
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
2-3 drops cherry, raspberry, almond or other favorite flavoring (optional)
Parchment paper

Variations:

Truffle filling can also be made by chopping Candy Melts finely. Heat cream almost to boiling, add chopped candy and stir until melted and smooth.

After dipping truffle balls into melted candy, truffles can then be dipped into colored sugars, sprinkles, chopped nuts, cocoa or finely chopped candy.
