Bake and cool 1-layer flower-shaped cake. Place on foil-wrapped cake board cut to fit cake.
Tint portions of buttercream icing rose, violet and yellow. Ice sides smooth in rose. Add tip 5 violet outline on petals. Fill in petals with tip 16 rose outlines; add tip 10 yellow rosette flower center.
