Uncovered Treasure

This cute little pirate brings a bounty of fun to the party. He’s ready for birthday adventures and has a treasure of candy coins to share with everyone.

Serves 12.

Step 1: Bake The Cake

Bake and cool 1-layer pirate-shaped cake. Place on foil-wrapped cake board.

Step 2: Decorate The Cake

Ice sides and background areas smooth with spatula. Use tip 3 to outline and pipe-in skull and crossbones on hat, face, arms, legs, feet, treasure chest, sandals and shirt. Use tip 3 to fill in eye, eye patch, facial features on skull, keyhole on treasure chest (smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch). Cover hat, face, shirt, arms, legs, treasure chest, pants and sandals with tip 16 stars. Add tip 16 pull-out star hair. Pipe a tip 21 shell bottom border.

Step 3: Celebrate

Position candy coins on treasure chest.
