This merry patch of pumpkins are so easy to decorate. Fondant toppers give the cupcakes character; FoodWriter edible color markers make adding details a cinch.

In advance, roll out orange fondant 1/8 in. thick; using cutter, cut out pumpkins. Let dry on cornstarch-dusted cake boards. Roll out small piece of white fondant 1/8 in. thick; cut eyes using smallest round Cut-Out. Lightly brush with water and attach to pumpkins. With Foodwriter, draw pupils, mouth, nose and stem details.
Bake your favorite cupcake recipe or mix in baking cups. Cool completely. Add a tip 1M buttercream swirl to top of cooled cupcake; spray with Color Mist. Place fondant pumpkin on top of cupcake.
