Every kids loves animal crackers, but animal cookies are even more fun! They're big and bright, in great shapes you won't find in any box.
Each Cookie Serves 1.
Make Roll-Out Cookie and Chocolate Roll-Out Cookie recipes, or use refrigerated cookie dough.
Roll out chocolate dough 1/8 in. thick; cut dog and bear cookies. Bake and cool. Attach mini chocolate dot eyes with royal icing. Cut triangles from fruit snacks for bandanas; attach with royal icing. Add tip 3 royal icing outline smile; add dot pupils, nose, inside ears and dots on bandana.
Tint portions of plain dough green, yellow, rose and orange with icing color, reserving some plain. Roll together various dough colors just until marbled; roll out 1/8 in. thick and cut cookies. Bake and cool. For parrot and fish, attach mini chocolate dot eyes with royal icing. For parrot, outline wings with tip 3. For fish, pipe tip 352 leaf-like scales. For butterfly, cut 1 1/2 in. lengths of licorice for antennae; attach with icing to back of cookie.
Roll out remaining yellow, green and plain dough 1/8 in. thick; cut yellow dinosaur and duck, green turtle and plain caterpillar cookies. Bake and cool. Attach mini chocolate dot eyes with royal icing. For caterpillar, flatten spice drops for body sections; attach with icing. For dinosaur, attach candy corn spikes with icing. For duck, pipe tip 3 outline wings. For turtle, attach mini-chocolate dots with icing.
