For backyard BBQ’s or watching the fireworks, there's nothing easier and more festive than these star cookies. Let each stand proudly in a colorful painted pot.

Step 1: Make Cookies
Prepare your favorite sugar cookie recipe or use refrigerated cookie dough. Spray pan with vegetable pan spray. Press cookie dough into pan cavities; press cookie sticks into dough. Bake and cool cookies following recipe directions.
Step 2: Decorate Cookies
Place cooled cookies on cooling grid over a cookie sheet. Cover with poured cookie icing; let set until firm. Attach the flag decoration to center of cookie with buttercream icing. Outline cookie with tip 3 buttercream line; immediately attach sprinkles.
Step 3: Assemble Arrangement
If necessary, add 1 to 1-1/2 inches dry beans to pot to keep it steady. Place craft block in container; insert cookie sticks into craft block, trimming sticks as needed. Add shredded basket filler.
