I saw a recipe for fondant adhesive. What is it used for and how?

Fondant adhesive is used to apply pieces of fondant to fondant-covered cakes. For smaller pieces, it is brushed on. When applying larger pieces, the adhesive is placed in a disposable bag or parchment bag and piped.
