Melt 1 package of Candy Melts with 2 tablespoons of vegetable shortening, following the heat and time instructions on the back of the Candy Melts packaging. Allow to set at room temperature until dull, about 10-15 minutes.
With a cookie spatula or bench scraper held at a 45° angle, scrape chocolate away from you, forming curls. Note: If candy is not firm enough it won’t curl; if it’s too firm it will break into tiny pieces. Move curls using a spatula to a parchment-lined plate or cookie sheet; refrigerate until ready to use.
