Hi Nancy, Can candy wafers be flavored with some kind of flavoring like vanilla or almond extract?

Dark and Light Cocoa Candy Melts and White and other colors of Candy Melts (which are a vanilla flavor) can have additional flavoring added to them.  Look for oil-based, not alcohol-based, flavorings, designed specifically for flavoring candy.  Alcohol and water-based additions to candy will cause it to seize and become unusable.
