Can I use all Karo Corn Syrup instead of water in my buttercream recipe?

We have not tested corn syrup as a substitute for all the water in buttercream icing, but it should work.  I generally add corn syrup to my regular buttercream icing recipe (made with water) to thin it and give it elasticity - perfect for outlining and writing!
