There are several ways to melt chocolate and Candy Melts, the important thing is not to overheat or burn them. You can melt them in a double boiler over low heat (never direct heat, which is too hot!) or in the microwave oven at 50% power (or DEFROST setting). It's not necessary to heat the candy until it is all melted. When most of the candy is melted, remove it from the heat, if melting in a double boiler, or from the microwave oven and stir; this will melt the remaining bits of unmelted candy.
