For raspberry mousse filling, can I substitute nondairy whipped topping or buttercream icing for the whipped cream?

Whipped topping will not hold up much better in summer heat than whipped cream. You can certainly combine raspberries with buttercream icing to create a raspberry cream filling; it will not, however, be light and airy like mousse. Another option would be to make a non-creamy Raspberry Filling .
